Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said she arrived at the scene near Birmingham Ridge Road at 4:53 p.m. and found Robert Pruitt, 48, of Golden, dead on the scene with a small branch on top of him.
Green said an autopsy confirmed Pruitt died of natural causes, specifically a cardiac event.
He was working with a company that clears land and cuts trees.
