From the Biz Buzz blog ...

What’s going on at this site near Toyota?

You might have noticed some work going on at this site right where Magnolia Way and Highway 9 meet.

Magnolia Way, if you’re unfamiliar with it, is the frontage road parallel to Toyota‘s plant in Blue Springs.

But there’s heavy equipment out there building an access road to a site that’s being cleared off you can see quite clearly from Highway 78.

It it a Toyota supplier?

Nope, sorry. It is, however, the new site for Thompson Machinery, which has a couple locations in Tupelo.

It seems they’ll be moving out there to a sizable $6 million to $7 million facility in a couple of years.

Lowest gas price: Head over to Fulton

Last week’s prices were mostly in the $3.50 range, with a low of $3.46.

This week, the prices are in the $3.30 to $3.40-ish range.

And today’s low-price leader in our survey of area gas stations is $3.34 in Fulton.

Highest price was in Oxford, for $3.55.
