ABERDEEN— A trial has been rescheduled for a man who was twice convicted of rape and is now charged with failing to register as a sex offender.

Court records say Peter Joseph Greer was convicted of rape in New York in 1994 and again in 2001. He had been living in Senatobia, Miss., but authorities say he failed to update his sex offender registration and later moved to Memphis, Tenn.

His trial was scheduled for Oct. 29 in U.S. District Court in Aberdeen, but has been pushed back until March.

Greer has pleaded not guilty.
