The StatePride campaign began in 2009 and runs through the end of the year. As of Friday, the MSU Foundation had collected gifts and pledges of more than $104 million.
The campaign has raised more than $71 million to pay for undergraduate and graduate student scholarships.
Almost $33 million has been raised to support faculty members, including creating endowed professorships. MSU says it now has 65 professorships that are endowed with private funds, a number that counts 12 where gifts have been pledged but not received. Endowed positions often allow a school to boost a professor's salary or provide extra money for research.
The MSU Foundation raises money and administers endowments for the 20,000-student university.
