The man who died is Ricky Terry, 58 of Saltillo. He died of a heart attack, according to officials.
Terry had said he was assaulted before collapsing on his bed, dead Monday, said Saltillo Police Chief Steve Brooks.
A person of interest had been in custody, but he was released.
