TUPELO – The National Rifle Association endorsed Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Alan Nunnelee, according to a press release by the 1st District incumbent U.S. House candidate.

The NRA also gave Nunnelee an “A” rating, which defines him as a “solidly pro-gun candidate ... who has supported NRA positions on key votes ... .”

Nunnelee’s Democratic challenger, Brad Morris, earned an “AQ” rating from the organization, meaning it defines him as “a pro-gun candidate ... who does not have a voting record on Second Amendment issues.”

The two face off in the Nov. 6 general election.
