Hamilton man charged with Starkville arson

STARKVILLE - Christopher Lee Steed, 35, of Hamilton has been charged with arson after confessing to burning down his home in Starkville, located on Louisville Street.

According to reports, Steed started the Oct. 24 fire by lighting a roll of toilet paper on fire in the master bedroom.

The Starkville Police Department and State Fire Marshall's office investigated the arson. Steed's bond was set at $5,000.
