West Oktibbeha will miss football playoffs

The Mississippi High School Activities Association confirmed on Friday that West Oktibbeha will be ineligible for the football playoffs after the state Board of Education pulled the county’s accreditation on Oct. 23.

The Class 1A Timberwolves took an 8-2 record into Friday’s regular-season finale and would have made the playoff field.

East Oktibbeha is 2-8 this season.
