The complex opened in October.
Lowndes County board president Harry Sanders tells the Commercial Dispatch that recreation officials are considering an additional restroom, concession stand and a coaches' lounge for about $200,000.
Sanders says Roger Short, executive director of the Columbus Lowndes Recreation Authority, is to meet with supervisors on Monday.
Columbus Mayor Robert Smith says the city council is expected to discuss the issue at its meeting Tuesday.
The additional restroom and concession stand would be closer to the south end of the park, providing facilities on both ends of the park.
Sanders said he hopes the work will be completed this winter.
