STARKVILLE — A Starkville man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on a manslaughter charge related to the death of his uncle.

The Starkville Daily News says Kewon Delarryous Doss was found guilty this week in Oktibbeha County Circuit Court. In addition to the prison term, Doss was also ordered to pay a $1,200 fine and $4,890 in restitution.

Doss was charged with killing 38-year-old Larry Davis, his uncle, in January.

Authorities say the shooting happened at a house the men shared. Deputies say Davis died from a single gunshot wound to the torso.
