James Pittman, 83, of Tupelo, was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center to be treated for injuries sustained in a two-car crash in front of Shipley’s Donuts on Cliff Gookin Boulevard, according to Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green.
Green said Pittman was in surgery around 1:30 p.m. when he died from multiple wounds sustained during the crash.
