Ole Miss gets invitation for Women's NIT matchup

The Ole Miss women's basketball team has accepted a bid to the Women's National Invitation Tournament and picked up a first-round bye.

The Rebels (17-14) will face the winner of Friday's game between Murray State (22-8) and Arkansas-Little Rock (26-6). Sunday's second-round game would be played in Oxford if Murray State wins or on the road if UALR wins.

Kentucky (15-5) also made the field and opens against Chattanooga (22-9) on Thursday. Arkansas (17-13) also picked up a first-round bye.
