Story from last night.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office chased a Honda late Tuesday night through parts of the county when its driver refused to stop, law enforcement said.

According to Sheriff Jim Johnson, his department was involved in the chase that ended on Highway 363 east of Saltillo, near County Road 1970. He said the vehicle lost control and one suspect who was wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections is now in custody.

According to the scanner reports, the chase started around 9:30 p.m. and ended around 10 p.m. when the vehicle crashed. One of the vehicle occupants remained in the car and another allegedly ran from police.

Sheriff Johnson said more information will be released on Wednesday.
