Escaped jail trustee caught at Hattiesburg hotel

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — A state inmate who escaped while doing trustee work in Hattiesburg late last month is back in custody.

Crimestoppers officials tell The Hattiesburg American (http://bit.ly/SJedNY ) that Marcus Andrew Walker was caught at the Scottish Inn in Hattiesburg about 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

He was taken back to the Forrest County Regional Jail.

Walker had last been seen on Nov. 26 washing sheriff's department cars at the Forrest County Service Center near downtown Hattiesburg.

He was serving five years on robbery charges.
