Alcorn president elected to board

LORMAN, Miss. (AP) — Alcorn State President M. Christopher Brown II has been elected to the board of trustees of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

The group is the regional accrediting body for higher education degree-granting institutions across eleven Southern states.

Brown will serve until December 2015.
