Gregg Kennedy
As a result of the EF5 tornado that struck Smithville on April 27, 2011, Mayor Kennedy feels it is his duty, to continue in the recovery efforts. While these efforts have been many, Mayor Kennedy remains optimistic. Mayor Kennedy said, “Great things are happening here, in spite of the heartache and pain we have experienced over the past 19 months.”
Gregg Kennedy is a lifelong resident of Smithville and has served as Mayor for 3 consecutive terms, being re-elected 2 times. Prior to becoming Mayor of Smithville, he served on the Board as Alderman for two consecutive four year terms.
