DERMA — Derma town leaders will soon learn if anyone wants to be a member of the board of aldermen.

Officials tell WCBI-TV of Columbus that no one filed papers to run in the Jan. 8 special election for alderman. The winner would have replaced the late Richard Blaylock. Blaylock served 23 years on the board of aldermen.

Since nobody wanted to run, the board of aldermen will appoint Blaylock's successor. The board meets after the first of the year.
