The Commercial Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/10bnFR2 ) the board unanimously approved an interlocal agreement Monday with Olive Branch and the county to pay maintenance costs for the center.
Under the agreement, each government will pay $50,000 a year for each of the next three years — $300,000 total — for maintenance of the center, which provides a career technology curriculum for students interested in a vo-tech type education on the eastern side of the county.
The school system has operated such a center at Southaven High School for years. The Olive Branch counterpart opened this year in a once-vacant warehouse.
