Erika Sisk, a freshman from Oxford, is taking the Ohio Valley Conference by storm.

The 5-foot-6 Murray State guard was named OVC Freshman of the Week in women’s basketball on Monday – the fifth time this young

season that she’s earned the weekly honor.

Sisk is second on the team in scoring (12.0) in 16 starts for the Racers (9-7) and is fifth in the league in steals (2.3 per game).

Last season, Sisk averaged 22.6 points per game points to lead unfeated

Oxford (33-0) to the 5A state championship and was a Daily Journal All-Area selection.
