The Commercial Dispatch reports that Steven Deshun Blevins, 30, and Eddie Anthony Williams, 28, both of Columbus were arrested Thursday.
Deputies say the two men were found outside a home in north Columbus and were believed to be preparing for a break-in.
Investigators said a search of homes where the men had been staying turned up items believed to have been stolen in burglaries in Lowndes County and Alabama.
It was unclear whether either suspect has an attorney.
