MSU, Ole Miss clash in men’s tennis today

Bragging rights will be at stake today when the 10th-ranked Mississippi State men’s tennis team takes on No. 12 Ole Miss at 5 p.m., in the 16th River Hills Cup in Jackson.

MSU (4-0) has won the last three meetings in the series. Freshman Romain Bogaerts, who is ranked 25th in the nation, leads the Bulldogs with a perfect 4-0 mark.

Ole Miss (2-0) has won 12 of the 15 cup meetings.

The Rebels are led by All-Americans Nik Scholtz and Jonas Lutjen who are a combined 6-0 in singles and doubles at the top two spots.

Both teams have qualified for the National Indoor

championships Feb. 15-18 in Seattle.
