Corinth history museum open additional hours

CORINTH – The Black History Museum in Corinth will be open extended hours throughout February.

Usually open Fridays only, the museum will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through March 1. Black History Month exhibits include a Corinth-born Tuskegee Airman, an actor from “The Color Purple,” Africana, a President Barack Obama exhibit and history of the civil rights struggle in the United States. A special opening will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 23, as student day.

The museum is located at 1109 Meigg St., (662) 665-8500, and admission is free.
