No. 8 Ole Miss hosts UT-Martin today

OXFORD – Sophomore right-hander Sam Smith will start for Ole Miss when the No. 8-ranked Rebels take on Tennessee-Martin today at 4 at Swayze Field.

Smith made 13 appearances as a freshman, mostly midweek starts. He was 2-3 with a 5.80 earned run average a year ago.

UT-Martin was swept at Southeastern Louisiana over the weekend and played at home against Southern Illinois Tuesday afternoon.

Ole Miss moved to No. 8 in the Baseball America rankings after a three game sweep of TCU.

The Rebels defeated UT Martin 20-4 in a single game last season.
