TUPELO - Tupelo Symphony Orchestra's Steinway concert grand piano will get a workout today at Link Centre.

A collection of nine pianists from throughout Northeast Mississippi will perform solos and duets during the latest edition of TSO's Pianoforte Society's "We Love the Piano" series.

This version is titled "Ensembles of a Classical Nature."

"It's a one-hour program," said Peggy Oakes, program coordinator. "It's all classical music this time."

The show at Link Centre's Concert Hall will feature works by Clementi, Milhaud, Liszt, Mozart, Buencamio and more.

"I think it shall be a really interesting and varied program," Oakes said. "These composers are quite different."

Performers will be James Allen, Jeffery Myers, Roseangela Sebba, Karen Murphy, Jeremy Owens, Jerri Lamar Kantack, Noel Garcia, Ann Kay and Brian Eads.

The cost is $10/at the door, and proceeds will support the Pianoforte Society Scholarship Fund for young musicians.

"Come listen to a piano program on a lazy Sunday afternoon," Oaks said.
