JACKSON — The Mississippi Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a Lowndes County man for sale of cocaine.

Freddie Webber is serving 30 years in prison after a jury found him guilty during a trial in September of 2011.

In his appeal, Webber said a video tape of a drug transaction presented in court should have been excluded because it contained evidence of "previous bad facts".

He also said the evidence didn't support a conviction and the judge should have allowed a cautionary instruction to the jury because of the testimony of a confidential informant.

The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected Webber's arguments.
