Two individuals were arrested on marijuana charges after the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, K9 Unit and North Mississippi Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant March 18, according to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Richard Steve Phillips, 57, of Amory was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and Vicky G. Mitchell, 55, of Aberdeen was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

According to the release, agents executed a search warrant at a residence on South Harmony Road where they found a felony amount of marijuana, two handguns, plastic baggies, digital scales and more than $1,000 in cash.

Both subjects are currently being held at the Monroe County Detention Center. No bond has been set at this time.
