BOONEVILLE – Kim Hamm, federal programs coordinator with Alcorn County schools, will become curriculum coordinator with the Prentiss County School District on July 1.

She fills a position left vacant when Jason McKinney died in an automobile accident in August 2012.

Hamm, a resident of Prentiss County, has been with the Alcorn County School District for four years and previously taught high school math in Booneville and Baldwyn schools.

She also has been a consultant with Bailey Education Group working to help struggling school districts, and also has been called upon by the Mississippi Department of Education to help with various projects and training.
