The Tupelo Luncheon Civitan Club celebrated its 60th anniversary March 19 with its annual birthday meeting at the Summit Center. The Luncheon Civitans, chartered on Feb. 26, 1949, have grown from the original 31 members to more than 150, making it the world's largest Civitan Club. The club celebrated the accomplishments of many who "practice the Golden Rule and work to build a better and nobler citizenship" through Civitan.
