The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jane Watkins of Houston and the late Cooper Watkins and the late Clayton and Maylorene Criddle of Houston. She is a graduate of Houston High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. She is employed by Dr. Teena Horn at Amory Dental Group as a dental assistant.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Gene and Opal De Canter of New Albany and Janie Hamblin and the late Bud Hamblin of New Albany. He is a graduate of New Albany High School and is employed as a Quality Manager at Legget and Platt.
The couple will exchange vows on May 23, 2009 at 6 p.m. in Orange Beach, Ala.
