HOULKA - Josh Hodges hit a two-run homer in the first and another in the second as the Wildcats dropped a 10-0 division victory to the Ingomar Falcons in five innings on Saturday.
Ingomar set the tone early by scoring four runs in the top of the first on a pair of doubles from Tanner McCollum and Gregory to go along with Hodges' two-run homer. The Falcons tacked on a trio of runs in the second on a double by Preston Broom and another two-run shot from Hodges.
The Falcons added a pair of runs in the fifth and picked up the tenth run of the game in the fifth inning to invoke the 10-run mercy rule.
Lane Huffman broke up Austin Gregory's no-hitter with a two-out single in the bottom of the fourth, but the Wildcats bats stayed quite as Gregory answered by striking out the final batter of the inning to escape with no damage done.
Huffman's hit was the only base hit of the contest. Matt Moss struck out two Ingomar batters in five innings to be saddled with the loss for Houlka.
