State Test dates are April 28-May1. Parents need to make sure their kids get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast on those days so they will be at their best for testing. The deadline for the ACT test on June 13th is May 8.
All students who are enrolling in the sixth and ninth grades in the 2009-2010 school year will be required to complete the enrollment process at Mooreville Middle School and Mooreville High School. A parent or guardian must bring two proofs of residency and all other documents that are required by Lee County Schools. This process is required for those students that will be new to Mooreville and for Mooreville's current students. Please contact the middle school office at 680-4895 and the high school office at 842-6912 for more information.
As of April 29, we have 17 school days left until graduation, which will be on May 23 at 7 p.m. in the BancorpSouth Arena. Our seniors are eagerly anticipating this upcoming date.
This time of year is when students are excited about summer, senior trips and just hanging out with each other in general, so everyone really needs to drive safely. Please remember that seat belts save lives, and driving the speed limit will help make sure we reach our destinations in a safe manner. Let's all Buckle up for Bud.

Senior Laura Owen has been announced as a recipient of the North Mississippi Medical Center Scholarship. Applicants went through an interview process in order to be chosen.

n Ra'Shun Jernigan, Channing Lansdell, Wesley Lee and Josh Riley, who won second place in Team Booklet Competition and second place in Action Plan Skit Competition.
n Gabby Coggin, Shelby Hood, Jamey Logan and DeAnna Word, who won first place in Action Plan Skit Competition.
The first-place team will be trying to raise enough money to attend the International competition. Any help would be appreciated.
Congratulations to the Lady Tiger fast-pitch team for defeating Mooreville in the Class 3A North Half championship series. The Lady Tigers will travel to Ridgeland this Friday to play Game 1 in the state championship series against North Pike, the South Half winner. Everyone who can, please go and support our girls.
Graduation fees are due to Mrs. McCollum in the high school office by May 4. The amount is $74.45. You may pay with a check made out to Nettleton High School, cash (bring exact change please), or a money order.

The Cheerleader Booster Parents are sponsoring a "Diva Day" for children 4 years old to 5th grade at the Nettleton Primary Gymnasium on May 9 from 10 a.m. until noon. The cost is $15 per child. The cheerleaders will be doing light makeup and hair. We will also have dancing and games. You may pick up a form from Debbie Stephens, Beth Ray or any of the cheerleader parents. Forms and money are due by May 1 to Debbie Stephens or Beth Ray. The kids will have lots of fun, and you moms can take some time for yourselves.
Good Luck to the mixed doubles team of Kevin Neal and Taylor Evans, who will compete in the state tennis championship on May 4.
The Mississippi Subject Area tests are being given this week. Students need to be present and rested. The MCT2 tests will be given on May 12-14 for grades 3-8.
