- Looking back: The Rebels went 4-1 for the week with wins against Arkansas-Little Rock 6-1 and Southern Miss 8-4 before taking an SEC series 2-1 from league-leading Georgia, which was ranked No. 1 in the coaches poll.

Ole Miss fell behind in the series when the visiting Bulldogs got a seventh-inning grand slam and won the opener 6-3. Logan Power's two-run double in the eighth lifted the Rebels to a 10-8 win Saturday, and Scott Bittle and relievers David Goforth and Jake Morgan held Georgia to five hits in Sunday's 6-1 win.

- Looking ahead: The Rebels are at Trustmark Park in Pearl tonight at 6:30 for another game with Southern Miss. Evan Button had five hits in a 17-hit attack for the Rebels in Hattiesburg last week. The Golden Eagles are 26-17 overall, 10-8 and in fourth place in C-USA. They dropped two of three at East Carolina over the weekend.

The Rebels are at home Wednesday at 6:30 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Golden Lions are 21-20 overall, 13-11 in the SWAC.

- Rankings: The Rebels rose four spots to No. 7 in this week's Baseball America Top 25.

n In the SEC: Ole Miss is among five teams separated by one game in the SEC overall standings. Georgia and LSU lead their respective divisions at 14-7. Arkansas is 13-7, and Ole Miss and Florida are 13-8. The Rebels have the tie-breaker against Georgia and Florida and have yet to play Arkansas.

- MVP: Scott Bittle. The senior right-hander allowed three hits in the first inning but just two for the remainder of his seven-inning stint. Bittle retired 15 of the last 16 batters he faced and allowed no hits past the third inning. He allowed one earned run, one walk and struck out 11.
