There are no confirmed cases in Mississippi, but officials say people should be vigilant.
Catholic Diocese of Jackson Bishop Joseph Latino says on the church Web site that parishioners should not share consecrated wine or shake hands. He also suggests receiving Communion wafers in the hand instead of on the tongue.
The Baptist Record, the Mississippi Baptist Convention's weekly newsletter, says people should not come to church if they're sick. The convention also posted a disaster preparation manual on its Web site.
