Ole Miss wraps up women's NCAA golf

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Ole Miss women's golf team finished in a tie for 17th place in Saturday's final round of the NCAA East Regional at the University of Florida.

The Rebels shot a 309 on Saturday to finish with a 909 total, tied with Central Florida (298) in the 21-team field.

The top finishers: Denver (862), Alabama (866) and Tennessee (873). Dawn Shockley (66-209) of Denver was the overall medalist, with a one-stroke win over Stephanie Connelly (68-210) of UCF.

Connelly advances to the NCAA national tournament.

Teammate Dori Carter shot a 75 on Saturday for a 223 total. She tied for 40th place.

Jackson State finished last with a 991 total after shooting a 331 on Saturday.
