UPDATE: Five candidates for UM chancellor interviewed

JACKSON - The state College Board has interviewed at least five University of Mississippi chancellor candidates.

Interviews began Sunday afternoon and continued on Monday.

Jennifer Rogers, a spokeswoman for the College Board, said the list of candidates will be shortened this month.

Those mentioned as possible applicants have included Ole Miss Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Dean of the School of Medicine Dan Jones, former Gov. Ronnie Musgrove and Jackson attorney Barry Cannada.

More recent reports have included Arkansas State University President Leslie Wyatt and Austin Peay State University President Timothy Hall. Both have previous ties to Ole Miss. .
