Amory scout takes first in Pinewood Derby

The Pushmataha Area Council Pinewood Derby was held on May 2 at the Magnolia Speedway in Columbus. Several scouts from Calhoun, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clay, Lowndes, Monroe, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Webster and Winston counties participated in the derby.

Local winners were Wolf Pack winners - 1st place Whit Nestor, Pack 56 Amory; 2nd place Numair Khan, Pack 4 Columbus; 3rd place Matt Greene, Pack 27 Starkville.

Overall winners for the derby were Whit Nestor of Amory, Jesse Allen, Pack 9 Caledonia, and Matthew Commish, Pack 14, Starkville.
