With photo - MC-0527-JaRonald and Julia Jackson of Amory announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Lauren Jackson, to John Wesley Scott, son of Monty and Pam Young of Smithville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Ruth Sanders and the late Carl Sanders Jr., Lavona and Romie Holloway and the late Chesley H. Jackson, all of Amory.

She is a graduate of Amory High School. She received a bachelor of business administration from Mississippi State University in 2006. She graduated in May 2009 with special honors from Itawamba Community College with an associate of applied science degree in physical therapist assistant technology. She will be employed with Trinity Place in Columbus.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Patsy and Doug Greenhill and the late Johnny Wilkerson of Amory, Doug and Ruth Young of Smithville, and Lucy B. Scott and the late Wallace Scott, of Amory.

He is a graduate of Smithville High School. He received a bachelor's degree in business information systems from Mississippi State University in 2007. He is presently employed by Mississippi State University in Starkville as a programmer/analyst.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. June 6, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Amory. A reception will follow at River Birch Golf Club in Amory. All family and friends are invited to attend the wedding and reception. No local invitations are being sent.

The couple will make their home in Starkville.
