Turnage to wed Mitchell June 6

Tony and Nancy Swift of Alabaster, Alabama, announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela "Angie" Paige Turnage, to Kerry Rayburn Mitchell, son of Rita Mitchell and Dennis Stanford of Northport, Alabama. The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Tommy C. Turnage of Columbus. The prospective groom is also the son of the late Donald Mitchell of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Everett and Clytee Mitchell and the late Betty Barnes Mitchell, all of Hatley, and the late Monroe and Onie Turnage of Columbus.

She is a graduate of Columbus High School, Columbus, and received a marketing and nursing degree from East Mississippi Community College in Mayhew. She is a certified LPN at North Mississippi Medical Center - West Point.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Alice Wilson of Cottondale, Alabama, the late Clarence Wilson of Holt, Alabama, and the late Ellis and Valeria Mitchell of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

He is a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is self-employed at Kerry Mitchell Trucking, Northport, Alabama.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. June 6, 2009, at the home of Brooks and Allison Ferguson, 1771 Old West Point Road in Columbus.
