Compassionate friends will meet May 28 at 6:30 p.m. at NMMC Wellness Center in Tupelo. Families who have experienced the death of a child are invited to attend. For information, call 662-322-7794 or 377-5748.

May 30

Gospel Jubilee will be held Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 4-9 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Eupora in the Family Life Center. Food and refreshments begin at 5 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults. A love offering will be taken at the door and door prizes will be given.

Rob Sevilla will be at Crossroads Youth Center on May 30, 2009. All are invited.

June 2

The Work Keys assessment, as required by the MS Dept. of Education to become an assistant teacher in MS, will be given at the Houston School District Central Office on June 2, 2009 at 8:30 AM. The assessment will conclude around noon.

Walk-ins will not be tested, pre-registration is required. There is no fee for this test.

Saints on a Mission Church in Houston will be having a 3-night revival starting June 3-5, 2009 at 7 p.m. nightly. Minister Dwight Lyons will be the speaker.

Third Annual Una Community Fun Fest will be held June 5 to benefit the Community Park and Fire Dept. Booths are available for a $40 registrationfee and will deadline on May 15. Ongoing Events

The Northeast Mississippi Cancer Support Group, a community outreach group assisted by The University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, will begin sponsoring a cancer support group in May. The first meeting will be May 2, 2009 from 10:00- 11:30 a.m. The group is free and open to all cancer patients and their families regardless of where treatment was received. The Houston Vocational Center AEST Plant Science class is having their 1st annual spring plant sale at the AEST Greenhouse. CrossRoads Youth Center in Houlka is open on Saturday nights from 5-10 p.m. and the non-profit organization is dedicated to providing a safe haven for clean entertainment for youth of all ages.

Concessions are available and Christian entertainers and speakers are sought to share their experiences with local youth.
