AMORY – Amory’s longtime city clerk Suzanne Mobley gave her letter of resignation to the mayor and board of aldermen at their June 2 meeting.

Mobley, who has served as the city clerk and tax collector which has been an elected position until now, since 1985.

Mobley will work as city clerk until the end of June. She is leaving because of what she cited in the letter as “various laws of the State of Mississippi.”
