Furniture meeting to talk about stimulus funding
- TUPELO - The Mississippi Furniture Association is inviting members and non-members to attend a meeting Tuesday in the Building III Buyers Lounge at the Tupelo Furniture Market.
U.S. Rep. Travis Childers, D-Miss., and his staff will present a program exploring potential stimulus funding to help the furniture industry.
The meeting is at 3 p.m.
Food Giant hosts job fair this week for new store
- FULTON - Food Giant will conduct a job fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday in the former AmSouth Bank building next to Davis Ford in Fulton.
Applications, which may be downloaded from www.foodgiant.com, will be accepted for employment for Food Giant's new Fulton store. Also personnel will be available to answer questions.
