UPDATE: Prentiss County juvenile arrested for meth possession and stolen four wheeler

Mississippi State Troopers have arrested a juvenile for possession of .5 grams of methamphetamine and recovered a stolen 4 wheeler during the arrest.

The arrest occurred Tuesday, October 6th, 2009, on MS 30w and County Road 6100 in Prentiss County.

Troopers were checking driver’s license when the juvenile came through the check point. After a brief investigation, the juvenile was found to be in possession of less than .5 grams of methamphetamine.

The juvenile was placed in custody and later it was learned the 1998 Honda 4-wheeler had been previously reported stolen from the Algoma community in Pontotoc County on the same date.

The juvenile was released to his parent. The investigation is ongoing.

Agencies assisting with the case: Pontotoc Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and Mississippi Highway Patrol.
