Baldwyn officials investigating robbery

BALDWYN – Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that happened at Raymond Hill Discount on Front Street in Baldwyn.

Police say a woman walked into the store at around 1:30 p.m. and demanded money from a store clerk but when a witness in the store ran out the door to alert police, so did the would-be robber.

She fled the scene in a vehicle and was later pulled over by Guntown Police Chief Michael Hall and arrested. The woman, whose name had not been released, faces armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charges.
