Gerald Bailey, 44, of Franklin County, Tenn., was killed while traveling north on Highway 25. Bailey was driving a 2007 Volvo tractor-trailer.
The second vehicle was a 2001 Ford Escape driven by Jan Herbert Krummrich, 71, of Aberdeen. He was traveling south on Highway 25.
Details of the accident were not released immediately.
Krummrich was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. The crash is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
