WAVELAND — Families of a Mississippi National Guard unit based out of Kiln are working on a tribute to soldiers serving in Iraq and Aghanistan. The Delta Company, First 155th Combat Arms Battalion is among the guard units serving in Iraq.

The guard's Family Support Group is raising money to put up a monument at the Kiln Armory, listing the names of the 40 soldiers and the dates of their current tour.

The families say they are counting on donations to build the tribute to the soldiers.

The Family Support Group tells WLOX TV that they are not yet sure of the type or size of structure that will be erected.
