OXFORD – FBI agent Hal Neilson’s arraignment is set for 11 a.m. Jan. 26 before Magistrate Judge S. Allan Alexander in Oxford.

A federal grand jury on Jan. 13 indicted Neilson of Oxford on five counts that he falsified reports and lied about his financial interest in the Oxford FBI Office building.

The hearing will be Neilson's first public opportunity to enter a plea. His attorneys have declined to comment on the case.

If convicted of all counts, he faces up to 25 years in prison and $1.25 million in fines.
