Although the Amory Police Department has not released the name of the individual, sources close to the the victim have stated she is a student at Sulligent High School.
Rumors surrounding the alleged incident began make its way around Monroe County after posts began appearing on the popular social network site Facebook discussing the incident. The victim was allegedly attending a party in Amory when the assault occurred.
