CORINTH – Two trusties walked away from their work detail at Alcorn County Jail Monday morning and remain at large.

Authorities are looking for Bobby Durane Prather, 26, of 203 S. John St., Corinth, and Rodney James Wooden, 23, of 1513 Foote St., Corinth, said Sheriff Charles Rinehart.

The two men were assigned to do laundry and were accounted for after breakfast, when they began their work detail, the sheriff said. When a check was made about 9 a.m. the two men were missing.

Both inmates were being held at the jail on probation violations.

Prather was convicted in 2006 of burglary of an inhabited dwelling and sale, manufacture and distribution of a controlled substance.

Wooden was convicted in 2009 of sale and distribution of a controlled substance.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two escapees is asked to call the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office at (662) 286-5521, or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at (800) 773-8477.
