Look for several state players to be in the mix today as the WNBA conducts its annual player draft.

It’ll be seen on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. Her performance in helping Mississippi State

to the regional semifinals has boosted the

stock of 6-foot-5 Chanel Mokango, the Congolese center who’s turning up as a

possible first-round pick in some mock drafts.

Mokango was among 14 players invited to be present for the draft today in Secaucus, N.J. National player of the year Tina Charles of

national champion Connecticut is expected to be the No. 1 pick by the Connecticut Sun, which traded into the pick.

Other players expected to get the call: MSU guards Alexis Rack and Armelie Lumanu and Ole Miss forward Bianca Thomas.
