Jackie Sherrill took four teams to the Cotton Bowl, including Mississippi State. Because of that, he will be one of six men inducted into the Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

Sherrill, who coached MSU from 1991-2003, led the Bulldogs to the 1999 game, where they lost to a Ricky Williams-led Texas squad, 38-11. He also took Texas A&M to the game three consecutive years (1986-88), winning twice.

Also in the induction class are Wilbur Evans (Cotton Bowl executive), Kris Haines (Notre Dame split end), Phil Harris (Texas wingback), Warren Lyles (Alabama guard) and Joe Montana (Notre Dame quarterback).

The ceremony will be held in the AT&T Plaza at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas at noon. It's free and open to the public.
